HOLLYWOOD - Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, is prepared to sever his relationship with his daughter, if it means she emerges from her current troubles a healthy young woman.
The I Know Who Killed Me actress was arrested in Los Angeles on July 24 and charged with driving under the influence--for the second time in two months--and possession of cocaine.
And her estranged dad is praying Lindsay can get the help she needs sooner rather than later.
He's even prepared to step away from her life if it means she'll do what's needed to get healthy.
Michael says, "If saving Lindsay's life costs me my relationship with her, then so be it. Because I would rather have her alive than dead or destroyed.
"Lindsay loves what she does--her craft, her talent, her gift. It that gets taken away, I fear for the worst... She can rebound and set the biggest example in the world...but she's got to do it.
"And in order to do it, she needs the right people in her life."
