Lindsay Lohan's Father Urges Her to Ditch 'So-Called Friends'

Lindsay Lohan
HOLLYWOOD - Lindsay Lohan's father Michael hopes his troubled daughter will learn from her run-in with police on Saturday night, and he has urged her to reconsider the kind of company she keeps.

The Georgia Rule actress was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) after crashing her Mercedes convertible in Beverly Hills over the weekend, and police found a "usable amount of illegal narcotics," thought to be cocaine, at the scene of the crash.

And Lohan Sr. insists the 20-year-old needs to "clean house" if she is serious about leaving her wild partying days behind her.

He says, "This could get her the help she needs. Her lawyers, assistants, publicists, even some of her so-called friends seem to tag along and reap the rewards of Lindsay without any concern about what direction her life is going in.

"Lindsay needs to clean house and start all over again with the people with her in the beginning--her family."
