HOLLYWOOD - British screen star Orlando Bloom has put his love affair with actress Kate Bosworth on hold for a year--so they can give each other "time to grow."The pair recently split--but have been spotted together since, prompting
rumors of a reconciliation.
Bloom admits they're still close, but found their busy lives made a
relationship impossible.
He says, "There's been a lot of heat because we decided to take some time
out. But we're really close. It's unfortunate everything has to be for public
display.
"It's hard when you travel. It makes relationships a challenge. I've always
kept everything close to the vest, and that's how I intend to play everything.
"We've both got a big year ahead, and we thought, just for this year, we'd
give each other some time to grow."
Meanwhile, Bloom is bemused by reports he is being lined-up to
play a young James Bond.
Recent rumors claim the Pirates of the Caribbean star is being courted to
play a youthful superspy in forthcoming books based on author Charlie Higson's
Young James Bond novels--an idea endorsed by the writer himself.
But Bloom, 28, has heard nothing. He tells gossip site The Scoop, "My
manager, my agent have never mentioned it to me, not to date.
"Young or old it has never been mentioned to me. I don't know where that came
from, but I've never heard a whiff of it."
