HOLLYWOOD - Veteran British actress Lynn Redgrave is writing a one-woman stage show about

her battle against breast cancer, after enduring a mastectomy in 2002.

The double Oscar-nominee hopes to have the play ready to debut next year

and is launching a book detailing her battle with the disease, comprising her

diary entries and photographs taken by her daughter Annabel Clark, this week.

Journal: A Mother and Daughter's Recovery From Breast Cancer is a candid

account of Redgrave's struggle against the killer disease.

And the 62-year-old is determined to keep talking about her cancer battle to

inspire fellow sufferers.

She says of the show, "It will be about my life, my experiences, my cancer

and my mum (Rachel Kempson)."

And Redgrave's actress sister Vanessa found helping out with the tome hugely

rewarding: "The book has brought us closer. You've known this person since she

was a baby but you don't know what's on the inside and then it all comes out."
