Madonna was rushed to a New York hospital in agony on Saturday after she was thrown to the ground by a horse she was riding.
The accident occurred when the horse was surprised by paparazzi who jumped out of the bushes to photograph the singer, according to her spokesperson Liz Rosenberg.
Madonna was admitted to Southampton Hospital, in New York, with minor injuries and bruises after the fall at her photographer friend Steven Klein's Bridgehampton farm, which was witnessed by boyfriend Jesus Luz.
Madonna was fully examined by doctors and was released from medics' care on Saturday night, reports the New York Daily News.
The star has previously broken three ribs, a hand and her collar bone in an equestrian accident in 2005.
