Madonna Makes More 'Music'

HOLLYWOOD - Which will come first, Madonna's new CD or baby? Mark your calendar: The M One’s new album "Music" will be released worldwide by Warner Bros. Records on Sept. 19, according to the singer’s manager, Caresse Henry.

"Music," Madonna’s eighth album of new material, was recorded in London and co-produced by the artist along with French dance sensation Mirwais.

William Orbit, who produced the 1998 Grammy-winning "Ray of Light" album, also co-produced several cuts, according to a Warners press statement released today.

According to Henry, "'Music' combines elements of pop, electronica, folk and dance with a funky edge."

The first single, the title track, is slated for an August release, and the video, featuring actress Debi Mazar, among others, was recently shot by award-winning "Ray of Light" director Jonas Akerland.

Another delivery anticipated around the same time as "Music" is Madonna's new baby. She is currently six months' pregnant with British director Guy Ritchie's child, widely rumored to be a boy.
