Madonna is 'So Nervous' About the Super Bowl Half-time Show

madonnaEven some of the biggest names in Hollywood suffer from a bout of stage fright every so often and Madonna is no different. The Material Girl recently revealed in an interview with Anderson Cooper (set to air on his Thursday show) that she's extremely anxious about performing in the Super Bowl half-time show this Sunday, admitting, "Oh my God, I'm so nervous, you have no idea."

As for the reasoning behind the nerves, the pop star explains, "First of all, it's the Super Bowl. I mean, the Super Bowl is kind of like the holiest of holy in America, right? So, here I am. I'm going to come in halfway between the church experience and I'm going to have to deliver a sermon that's going to have to be very impactful." She goes on to say, "I have to put on the greatest show on earth in the middle of the greatest show on earth." I guess that's enough to make anyone relatively nervous - even the Queen of Pop herself.

But it's not just the magnitude of the venue that concerns the legendary performer; the timing has something to do with it as well. She says, "I have eight minutes to set it up and seven minutes to take it down. I have 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth. Okay, that's a lot of pressure." But when asked what she'll be doing during those highly anticipated 12 minutes, the singer kept pretty mum about the whole thing, only saying, "I'll be singing." However, we all know it's going to be a lot more than that. It's Madonna- you know the show's bound to be spectacular. For a peek at the full interview, click here.

New York Giants go up against the New England Patriots on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Don't miss the show! And maybe catch the game as well.
