Madonna sells out London show in 15 minutes
HOLLYWOOD - Madonna fans are running, literally, to get their tickets to the Material Girl's summer tour. The singer broke the record for the fastest-selling show at Earls Court in London. The tickets for the July 4 performance were sold in 15 minutes. The singer sold 97,000 tickets in six hours for six shows. More than 30 million people attempted the phone-box hotlines for tickets, keeping the 265 agents handling calls. Also, The Museum of Fashion and Textiles in Santiago, Chile, placed the winning bid on the singer's Jean Paul-Gaultier black-satin, conical shaped bra for $21,150. The bra was put for auction by a Madonna fan who won it 10 years ago in a BBC Radio 1 contest, Launch reports.
