HOLLYWOOD - Paul McCartney and estranged wife Heather Mills are close to reaching a divorce settlement within days, according to reports.
The couple attended a settlement meeting before a judge at London's Royal Courts of Justice last Thursday, but the pair failed to agree on the terms of their divorce despite eight hours of talks.
But McCartney has allegedly offered Mills a $50 million settlement, which could lead to a conclusion of the case by Friday.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Telegraph, "There is no guarantee they will settle but it's the closest they have been," later describing both Mills and McCartney "within touching distance" of a resolution.
