HOLLYWOOD - Paul McCartney and Heather Mills have failed to agree on a divorce settlement despite eight hours of talks before a judge, according to reports.
The pair attended a meeting before a judge at London's Royal Courts of Justice on Thursday.
McCartney and Mills, who wed in 2002 before splitting four years later, were hoping to settle the dispute ahead of their daughter Beatrice's fourth birthday on Oct. 30.
McCartney has reportedly offered Mills $40 million--but she is holding out for $100 million.
A source tells British newspaper The Mirror, "They are still miles and miles apart. There is no agreement or deal.
"It was a tense and difficult day. They are civil for the sake of their daughter but they are both sticking to their guns."
