Meg Ryan, Dennis Quaid Split!
HOLLYWOOD - Very marrieds Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid aren't very married anymore. The A list couple announced today (via a press release) that they've separated. "The decision is mutual and amicable," said press release said.
Dennis Quaid Ryan, 38, and Quaid, 46, split six weeks ago. No word on whether the Big D looms -- just that they "hope the press will respect their privacy during this difficult time."
Well, at least they haven't lost their optimism.
The couple wed on Valentine's Day 1991. They have one son, Jack, 8.
The stars met where stars are wont to meet -- on the set. In Ryan and Quaid's case, the movie was "Innerspace" (1987).
To date, they have appeared in two other films together: "D.O.A." (1988) and "Flesh and Bone" (1993).
In other celebrity un-couplings, Gary Busey ("The Buddy Holly Story") filed for divorce today from his wife of more than three years, Tiani. Irreconcilable differences were cited.
