I think we’ve all finally gotten over the shock that there will soon be a third – yes, third – Men In Black movie in 2012. I know, I know. The first one was cute, the second one was pointless, so why is there a third in the works? Who knows, but the point is that it’s coming our way and it’s apparently gobbling up some of our favorite stars like a ravenous, giant, gelatinous monster along the way. We already know that it’s sucked Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back in. It’s managed to hunt down Josh Brolin (W), Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), and Emma Thompson and now, Men in Black 3 is hot on the tails of two more beloved actors. Run for your lives, Alec Baldwin and Betty White!
It’s just speculation at this point, but New York Magazine is reporting that Betty White may have signed on to funny up the completely unnecessary movie and though he hasn’t entered an agreement, Baldwin is said to be in negotiations about an appearance in the film (if I can even use that word).
While I want to hate this movie with every fiber of my being, I have to admit, if they manage to snag Betty White and Jack Donaghy (you know Baldwin would end up playing some version of his 30 Rock character), I’ll have to spend two hours of my life making sure it’s as bad as the last Men In Black sequel. Damn you, casting wizards.
