Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII on Showtime's 'The Tudors: Season 3'
Jonathan Rhys Meyers will end his reign as Henry VIII on TV series The Tudors next year -- network bosses have picked up the show for its fourth and final season.

Showtime network executives have decided to air Meyers' last scenes as the 16th century English monarch next spring.

The final 10 episodes will follow the monarch's tumultuous relationships with his last two wives: Catherine Howard, who was beheaded for treason, and Katherine Parr, who outlived the king, reports the New York Post.

Production is scheduled to begin this June in Dublin, Ireland.
