Michael Cera Campaigning for Ghostbusters 3

Michael Cera is campaigning for a role in the new Ghostbusters movie.

The Superbad actor admits it was a dream come true to work with director Harold Ramis on The Year One. Cera says he used his time on set to grill Ramis, who played Egon Spengler, about the franchise and on the plans for the forthcoming sequel featuring the original cast and a new generation of Ghostbusters.

Cera tells People magazine, "(I loved) Ghostbusters. As a kid, I wanted to be Bill Murray's character. "Harold told me lots of stories and I memorised every word."

Cera can next be seen in Youth in Revolt and Ghostbusters 3 is scheduled for release in 2012
