HOLLYWOOD - Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, has spoken out about his daughter's recent return to rehab--claiming the troubled actress is also suffering from an addiction to painkillers.
The Mean Girls star checked herself into the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, California, on Monday, two days after she was arrested for driving under the influence.
And while the 20-year-old has previously sought treatment for her addiction to alcohol, Lohan’s dad admits Lindsay is hooked on prescription drugs too.
He says, "I spoke to the people treating Lindsay, because I wanted to make sure she was getting the right care. And I'm satisfied they are doing the right thing for her, helping her detox from the painkillers and things. That's a very important step."
