HOLLYWOOD - Controversial filmmaker Michael Moore is launching a film festival in hishome state of Michigan.
Moore, who won the Palme D'Or for his anti-George W. Bush documentary
Fahrenheit 9/11 at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, has received permission from
Traverse City officials to stage the Traverse City Film Festival in July.
The four-day event will include "non-partisan" films, according to Moore,
including movie classic Casablanca, which will be screened on a park
overlooking Lake Michigan.
