Michael Vick of the Atlanta Falcons at the 1st Annual Dirty Awards. Atlanta, GA - 11-25-05 |
Jailed American football star Michael Vick has reportedly been approved for release to home confinement.
The former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, 28, is currently serving a 23-month sentence following his 2007 conviction for criminal conspiracy, stemming from allegations he bankrolled a dog fighting operation from a home he owned in Virginia.
He was scheduled for release on July 20, 2009 but could be released to his Virginia home as soon as May 21, 2009, according to various internet reports.
Vick will reportedly be on an electronic monitoring system and will only be allowed to leave the premises of his home upon approval of his probation officer.
