Heather Mills Set for 'Dancing with the Stars' Reprisal

Heather Mills
HOLLYWOOD - Heather Mills is set to take to the dance floor once more in a special British festive edition of Dancing with the Stars.

The one-legged former model and estranged wife of Paul McCartney appeared on the U.S. reality TV show earlier this year, and has signed up to star in the U.K. equivalent, Strictly Come Dancing.

Mills, who lost her lost her left leg in a road accident in 1993, was criticized after she launched a scathing attack on the former Beatle in a string of TV interviews across the globe earlier this month--but is now keen to win over the public.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mail, "Heather is desperate to shed her tag as public enemy number one. Dancing with the Stars made her an unlikely celebrity in her own right in America, (and now) wants to try to rectify and reverse public perception."

"Heather is really excited about the show and although she sees it primarily as damage limitation, she is absolutely desperate to win."

The show will see past participants from both sides of the Atlantic go head-to-head in the December special.
