HOLLYWOOD - Hollywood star Eddie Murphy will marry girlfriend Tracey Edmonds, according to a representative for the couple.
Murphy's spokesperson confirmed reports he proposed to his film-producer partner with a yellow diamond Cartier sparkler last week.
The actor's representative tells People.com, "Tracey and Eddie were engaged last Wednesday.
"Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together."
The couple--who have been dating since last year--was rumored to have split earlier this month after Murphy was named the biological father of Spice Girl Melanie Brown's three-month-old child Angel Iris.
But Edmonds denied the claims of the break-up, branding them "absolutely not true."
