Actress Brittany Murphy's husband Simon Monjack returned to a media circus at the couple's Los Angeles home as news of her tragic death on Sunday broke around the world.
Murphy, 32, died at 10:04 a.m. local time, according to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center spokeswoman Sally Stewart -- who refused to reveal any further details of the Clueless star's untimely demise.
However, online reports suggest that Murphy died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Beverly Hills home she shared with Monjack -- where paramedics arrived after the actress' mother allegedly discovered her unconscious in the shower.
According to TMZ.com, Murphy could not be revived by paramedics and was pronounced dead on arrival.
And after returning from the medical center, Monjack arrived to a frenzy of photographers and TV crews camped outside, as well as several police at the scene. He was supported by a friend upon his return.
The Coroner’s office has reportedly launched an investigation into Murphy's cause of death.
