We're going to go ahead and file this story in the Chicks with Dicks bucket. NBC is reportedly developing a series called My Best Friend is a Lesbo. The series is based on an idea from writers and roommates, Sascha Rothchild and Randi Barnes. The comedy is set in Los Angeles and will follow two best friends and here's the part that's already pretty obvious: one is a lesbian and one is straight. If this series moves forward at the network, we highly doubt that name will stick. It will do enough to get people interested and talking about the potential series before it hits airwaves, but it's just a little too far from politically correct for one of the big four networks to run it as is.
In the meantime, let's take another look at Community's take on a similar concept. Let's hope the characters on the new show are a little less like these ladies.
