HOLLYWOOD - Natalie Portman is a critically acclaimed actress, she has a B.A. in psychology from Harvard, she is socially conscious and she just started a vegan shoe line called Te Casan. What else can this girl do?
Well, to answer that question, her latest venture is directing, and if you happen to be in Venice, Italy, on September 1, her 17-minute film called Eve will be opening the Venice International Film Festival’s short-film sidebar.
Portman’s short film stars Lauren Bacall and Ben Gazzara and will be screened in an out-of-competition slot. Portman plans to be on hand for the screening.
Reuters reports that the film festival organizers have referred to the film as "a civilized comedy."
The festival runs from August 27 to September 6.
