HOLLYWOOD - Socialite Nicole Richie is so keen to start life as a new mom that she checked out of Cedars Sinai Medical Center just hours after giving birth to baby daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden on Friday.
A representative for Richie and the baby's father, rocker Joel Madden, has confirmed the "ecstatic parents" left the Los Angeles hospital on Friday evening.
Little Harlow weighed six pounds, seven ounces when she was born, and the rep insists the baby is "beautiful" and "healthy."
It was a busy 24 hours for celebrity deliveries at the medical center--actress Courtney Thorne-Smith gave birth to a baby boy on Thursday and comedian David Alan Grier welcomed a baby daughter into the world at the hospital.
Christina Aguilera also reportedly went into labor on Friday and was also taken to Cedars Sinai.
The singer is believed to have given birth her first child with husband Jordan Bratman by caesarian section at around 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon, but details of the birth have yet to be released.
According to E!, the couple announced the happy event to friends and family by sending a text message that read, "Baby has arrived. Mom and dad are doing well!"
The pair--who married in 2005--was said to be considering the names Jackson Jake and Max for their son.
