HOLLYWOOD - Brooke Shields is going public with her baby best wishes in an effort to end her war of words with Tom Cruise.
The Mission: Impossible star, who is a Scientologist, blasted Shields last year for championing the prescription and use of drugs to help mothers cope with postpartum depression.
Cruise appeared on TV and criticized the actress for comments she made publicly and in her memoirs, in which she spoke candidly about her own baby blues and the antidepressants which helped her to deal with the low.
But, after the warring stars' new babies were born in the same hospital on April 18, Shields has chosen to forgive Cruise and forget the criticism he piled on her.
Speaking to TV show Entertainment Tonight, Shields said, "It's (having a baby) the best gift you could have, so I'm really happy for them. How could I not be?"
The actress admitted she isn't suffering the same postpartum problems she did with her new baby Grier as she did when her two-year-old daughter Rowan was born.
Speaking at the Over the Hedge Hollywood premiere yesterday, she cooed, "She's a delight, really healthy... You wouldn't have seen me at a premiere with the last one (baby)."
