Let’s be real here - James Franco does not need ANOTHER blockbuster movie. He’s been there, done that. Bring on the soaps. So for him to join a prequel reboot there must be something there. And as the first trailer hinted at and the second trailer confirms, yeah, Rise of the Planet of the Apes is awesome. The story is freaky (we lose!), the CGI still looks like CGI but it’s really good - and it stars James Franco. Gonna be awesome.
My one complaint - how the could apes realistically overthrow the humans? Even hyper intelligent apes couldn’t mount the numbers to overthrow 6 BILLION people. Sure, gorillas can jump off of bridges onto helicopters but they can’t do that to every helicopter. Why am I even worrying about this? I’m sure director Rupert Wyatt will explain it.
