HOLLYWOOD - One of Nick Cannon's relatives has confirmed reports the rapper/actor has wed singer Mariah Carey.
New York gossip columnist Paula Froelich, who broke the wedding story, claims the couple married at Carey's home in the Bahamas on Wednesday, and now a family member has confirmed the reports.
Linda Cannon tells E! News, "He called and told us all about it. I'm not going to give you any details. If that is what he wants, then we are happy for him."
Hitmaker Carey has been dating Cannon since he teamed up with her in a new video in March. The couple has spent the past week promoting separate films at New York's TriBeCa Film Festival, where the pop diva was spotted wearing a diamond and platinum ring on her wedding finger.
It is the second marriage for Carey, who married Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola in 1993. Cannon called off his engagement to model Selita Ebanks last year.
