Rosie O'Donnell Cancels TV Appearances

Rosie O'Donnell
HOLLYWOOD - Actress-turned-TV personality Rosie O'Donnell has scrapped her upcoming television appearances to promote her revealing new book Celebrity Detox.

The A League of Their Own star was scheduled to sit down with news anchor Diane Sawyer for a segment on Good Morning America in the beginning of October, but O'Donnell's publishers have mysteriously pulled the plug on the much-anticipated interview.

This comes just days after O'Donnell reportedly turned down an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's daytime talk show.

No details concerning the reason for the cancellation have been released.

A spokeswoman for Good Morning America says, "We were informed by the publisher today that she (O'Donnell) has cancelled all her media appearances."

Writing on her blog on Friday, O'Donnell told fans she didn't feel ready to "discuss or defend" the things in her new book.

In the new book, O'Donnell talks about the abuse she suffered as a child and her famous public spats with Donald Trump and her former co-hosts on hit TV show The View.
