HOLLYWOOD - The Naked Gun star O.J. Simpson has paid an emotional tribute to late celebrity defense attorney Johnnie Cochran, who died of a brain tumor on March 29, aged 67. Simpson believes he would be serving time in prison for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ron Goldman, if the legendary lawyer
hadn't successfully defended him during his well-publicized trial.
Cochran--who has also defended Michael Jackson and Sean 'P Diddy' Combs--famously proved a glove found at Brown's murder scene was too small for Simpson's hand, concluding, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."
Simpson admits, "I don't think I'd be home today without Johnnie."
