O'Neal battles chronic leukemia
HOLLYWOOD - A spokeswoman for Ryan O'Neal (Love Story, Paper Moon, What's Up, Doc?) has revealed that the actor is fighting chronic leukemia, but is home and undergoing treatment in Los Angeles. Spokeswoman Dede Binder told Reuters, "He has chronic leukemia, it is treatable and he is doing very well." The charmingly boyish actor, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday, is the father of actress Tatum O'Neal and was romantically linked with Farrah Fawcett for more than 15 years. O'Neal received an Oscar nomination for his work in Love Story.
