Osbourne's sadness for Hasselhoff's children

The reality TV star, who has battled her own addiction demons, was sad to learn the former Baywatch actor was hospitalised again last month (Nov09).

Hasselhoff, who has a long history of alcoholism, was hit by rumours he had suffered a seizure, while other media outlets reported the 57 year old was detained on an involuntary psychiatric hold. He's since insisted the rumours about his health are completely unfounded, saying he's "happy and healthy".

But the hospital visit follows a year of relapses for Hasselhoff - he was admitted to rehab in October (09) amid reports he accidentally hit a doctor during a booze binge. He has also been hospitalised on two separate occasions this year (09), reportedly suffering from alcohol poisoning.

And Osbourne fears the star's health and addiction problems will have a bad impact on his two daughters, 19-year-old Taylor and Hayley, 17.

Taking to her column in Britain's Closer magazine, she writes, "I was so sad to read about David Hasselhoff being hospitalised because of alcohol again. Addiction is the hardest thing in the world to overcome - it's a constant battle with yourself - but I hope he can beat it for his children's sake. I really feel for his 17-year-old daughter, Hayley, who had to call the paramedics for him. She's such a sweet girl and it must be horrible for her."
