HOLLYWOOD - Marie Osmond fought back tears as she revealed her teenage son has checked into rehab during a TV interview on Wednesday night.
The singer, who buried her father on Friday, told CNN anchorman Larry King that another family crisis was brewing.
Her 16-year-old son Michael is seeking treatment for an undisclosed issue.
The "Paper Roses" singer said, "My son was put into a rehab... My son is amazing... He is the most amazing kid."
Brother Donny, who was sitting beside Marie for her appearance on Larry King Live, helped his sister find the right words as she struggled to maintain her composure on the show.
In a statement released earlier in the day, Marie said, "As his mother, I couldn't be more proud of him. The press and public have always been kind and gracious in the past and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time."
