Gwyneth Paltrow's Directorial Debut Focuses on Dirty Date

77th Annual Academy Awards RC
HOLLYWOOD - Gwyneth Paltrow's directorial debut, Dealbreaker, is based on a real-life story about a woman who falls out of love when her boyfriend uses the toilet while she's bathing.

The actress was commissioned to make the short movie by the editors of style magazine Glamour after they invited readers to write in with stories about moments that changed their lives.

And Paltrow was touched by one comical tale of a woman who got to know her partner a little too intimately.

Of the short, which is currently showing at the Sundance Film Festival, Paltrow says, "It's basically about this woman's horrifying date moment where she was dating this guy and it was all going really well and then he did something that was so horrific and scatological that it was just over."

The Proof star now hopes to generate enough interest in her project at Sundance to turn it into a full feature.
