Pamela Anderson
has signed on for an upcoming E! series that will be a “docu-style” show--not a reality show--according to the network.
The show, currently titled
Pamela
and slated to air this summer, will put on full display
Anderson
’s life, including her much gossiped-about love life.
Pamela
is produced by the filmmakers behind controversial but celebrated documentaries
Inside Deep Throat
and
The Eyes of Tammy Faye
.
In a statement from E!, executive producer
Randy Barbato
promises that the show will be “artistically rich” and “visually stunning” and will expose “the real woman behind the famous breasts.”
Unlike
Anderson
’s friend
Denise Richards
’ upcoming E! series, however, the former
Baywatch
star’s kids will be excluded, as will their father/
Anderson
’s ex-husband,
Tommy Lee
.
E! is fast becoming the go-to network for celebrity TV shows: In addition to
Anderson
and
Richards
’ ventures,
Lindsay Lohan
’s mother, Dina, is launching a reality show this summer, while
Snoop Dogg
,
Kimora Lee Simmons
and the Kardashian family are just a few of the big names who already call E! home.
The
Ashton Kutcher
-produced
Pop Life
also currently airs on the network.
