The father of Heroes star Hayden Panettiere has received two years’ informal probation following a plea of no contest to hitting his wife.
Alan Panetierre, 49, was charged in August 2008 with assaulting his wife, Lesley.
He could’ve been sentenced up to one year in prison for the misdemeanor battery charge but was instead given probation by Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, who also ordered Alan to attend a year of domestic violence counseling and pay a $400 fine.
