HOLLYWOOD - Paris Hilton made headlines recently when rebuking Presidential candidate John McCain's use of her image in his campaign. For the first time, in forever, people were laughing with Hilton versus at her.
Hilton had only about a week to enjoy the success of her video announcing her plans to run for office--she's back in the news again and it's not so funny this time. According to WENN the heiress is being sued by a company that alleges the socialite owes them $75,000 for not fully promoting a movie she starred in.
Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. filed a lawsuit in Miami last week, alleging that the 27-year-old owes them the sum for not fulfilling promotional obligations.
The newbie actress is said to have entered into an agreement in 2004 for the production and distribution of the movie National Lampoon's Pledge This!, in
which she starred, according to the lawsuit.
The Miami-based company claims it paid Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., $1 million for her acting services and for "reasonable promotion and publicity" for the movie, which was released in 2006 and featured Hilton as the president of an exclusive sorority.
The president of a sorority is believable...the country?
