Paris Katherine Says Goodbye to Her Father
In a sad twist of fate, the world heard one of Michael Jackson's three children speak for the first time today. The deceased singer's daughter Paris Katherine said her tearful goodbyes to her father onstage at his funeral.
The memorial service was televised throughout the world from Los Angeles' Staples Center to an audience of millions. It will almost surely become one of history's most watched television events.
Surrounded by her aunts, uncles and brothers, Paris, 11, choked back tears saying, "I just want to say that ever since I was born, daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. I just wanna say that I love him -- so much." Jackson then collapsed into the arms of her aunt Janet Jackson and was swiftly escorted off the stage.
