HOLLYWOOD - Actor Paul Rudd has dismissed speculation he is to star in a remake of movie classic Ghostbusters, insisting it is just a rumor.
Rudd was reported to have signed up for a new version of the 1984 sci-fi comedy along with Seth Rogen and Steve Carell.
The Knocked Up star insists that although he is a big fan of the original film, he hasn't been asked to be in a possible remake.
He tells MTV.com, "I've heard this rumor. A couple of days ago somebody asked me that, and that was the first I'd heard about it. It's incredibly flattering to be in a rumor. I would do it in a second with those guys. But do you think it's a good idea to redo Ghostbusters? It's a classic."
