It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Pee Wee Herman on any screen, but with the success of his Broadway revival comes an opportunity for actor Paul Reubens to treat us to more Pee Wee. HBO has picked up on the vintage triumph, scooping up the rights to turn it into content for the premium channel. Before you get too excited, hold your horses. HBO will be broadcasting The Pee Wee Herman Show as a special, recording a Broadway performance of the hit show and broadcasting it for their subscribers. Unfortunately, Pee Wee’s Playhouse will not be making a triumphant return to television any time soon. But it’s probably for the best guys; we don’t wanna get mixed up with a guy like him. He’s a loner…a rebel.
