Have you ever wondered just how accurate some of your favorite movies are? Maybe you're curious as to whether or not someone like Jack Sparrow or James Bond could exist in real life. Maybe you just love movies so much that you'll watch anything even slightly related to them. Enter The Real Story, a new series on a new channel - the Smithsonian Channel. Hoping to give the History Channel a run for its money, the Smithsonian Channel looks to nab pop culture nerds with this series that takes our favorite movies (like these clips depict, Silence of the Lambs, the Pirates trilogy and all of James Bond's adventures) and situates them in history, pitting them against actual events and pointing out what's real and what's pure fantasy and from the looks of this, it's pretty darn interesting.
