Playmate sues New York cops for excessive force

Stephanie Adams, who was a Playmate in 1992, claims cops drew their guns on her and pushed her to the pavement after the driver, Eric Darko, told them she was armed and dangerous.

The lesbian icon and Darko began fighting when he refused to drop her off outside her apartment building. He claims she threatened to shoot him and called the police.

Adams successfully sued Darko for falsely claiming she was armed. His taxi license was revoked and he was fined $2,700 (£1,688).

In her new suit, Adams' lawyer insists the physical force police displayed was unnecessary because it should have been clear his client was not concealing a weapon - by the tight-fitting clothing she was wearing.

Adams' doctor has confirmed the incident left his patient with injured spinal discs and serious back pain.
