Presidio Prepping Japanese-Language 'Paranormal Activity' Sequel

ALTJapanese distributor Presidio will expand into production with a local-language sequel to Paranormal Activity, titled Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Night.

Screen reports that IM Global's non-English-language sales division, Anthem, represents international rights.

Per Screen, the project is a direct continuation of the events of Oren Peli and Jason Blum's 2009 smash and takes place in Japan as a girl who visited San Diego as an exchange student unwittingly brings the evil that haunted the original's Katie Featherston into her family's house.

Toshikazu Nagae is directing from his own screenplay and Aoi Nakamura and Noriko Aoyama star.

The film is tentatively scheduled for delivery in December.
