'Prison Break' Star Picked Up Teens at Grocery Store

Lane Garrison
HOLLYWOOD - Troubled Prison Break star Lane Garrison met the teenagers involved in a fatal car crash on Saturday night at a grocery store that day.

The actor was driving his Land Rover when it crashed into a tree, killing 17-year-old Vahagn Setian, who was sitting in the backseat and injuring two 15-year-old girls.

Garrison's attorney Harland Braun tells entertainment website TMZ.com that his client was at the grocery story when the teens recognized him and asked him if he wanted to attend a party.

Braun says Garrison went to the party and had one drink and also had one margarita at a Mexican restaurant earlier in the evening. As the actor was leaving the party, the three teens asked for a ride.

The attorney insists Garrison has no recollection of the accident, which left him unconscious, and that his first recollection was waking up in the hospital with a taxi coupon on his lap that had been given to him by hospital staff to get home.

The actor was not told by hospital personnel that someone had died in the crash and when he later learned what had happened from a friend he was "totally despondent."

A sample of the actor's blood was taken at the hospital, but it could take several weeks before the test results are in.

Braun says he doubts his client was intoxicated at the time, adding, "Who knows if someone put something in his drink at the party. Nobody knows what happened, it's a mystery."
