HOLLYWOOD - Movie mogul Saul Zaentz is suing studio executives at New Line, claiming they've refused to co-operate with his auditors as he attempts to discover if he's owed cash from the Lord of the Rings profits.
The legendary producer filed a new lawsuit in Los Angeles on Thursday alleging New Line bosses have refused to make financial records available to investigators conducting an audit into profits from the film trilogy.
Zaentz first sued New Line in 2004, claiming he was owed $20 million.
As part of the ongoing court proceedings, it was revealed that Zaentz had already collected almost $170 million from the Lord of the Rings profits.
