HOLLYWOOD - Heroes actor Zachary Quinto has been unveiled as the new Mr. Spock in the forthcoming Star Trek prequel--and he'll star alongside the original, Leonard Nimoy.
The announcement was made at San Diego's Comic-Con, where Quinto appeared onstage with J.J. Abrams, who will direct the new movie, which will chart the early years of the USS Enterprise's crew.
The pair then welcomed Nimoy--a surprise guest--and revealed he will also appear in the movie.
When asked why he agreed to reprise his most famous role--Nimoy joked with the crowd, using one of the Vulcan's catchphrases: "People keep asking me why I'm doing this movie. The answer is, well, it was logical."
