HOLLYWOOD
- HBO has picked an all-star cast, including
Uma Thurman
,
Juliette Lewis
,
Gena Rowlands
and
Ben Gazzara
, for its new original movie,
Hysterical Blindness
.
Thurman
also will executive produce, with
Mira Nair
(
Mississippi Masala
) attached to direct. Shooting will begin mid-May. Adapted from Laura Cahill's stage play,
Blindness
is a comedic drama about two New Jersey women (
Thurman
and
Lewis
) on the quest for love and meaning in their lives. They soon realize that the simplest of dreams can be hard to attain.
Rowlands
will play
Thurman
's mother;
Gazzara
will play
Rowlands
' love interest.
