Rap summit to promote positive reform


HOLLYWOOD - Three of hip-hop's major players are calling for a summit to promote positive reform in the world of rap. Rush Communications' Russell Simmons will be joined by Sean Combs and Master P, as well as other top execs, in pushing for a gathering that will focus on the lyrics and marketing of the music genre, The Associated Press reports. Leading rap stars Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, KRS-One, and Q-Tip are among those scheduled to attend the conference in New York on June 12 and 13.
