HOLLYWOOD - Comic book heroine Red Sonja is returning to the big screen, in a remake of the 1985 character-titled film.
The original movie starred Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger and was a box office failure, but Millennium Films president Joe Gatta is convinced it has potential.
He says, "The first movie was not a good one--all the more reason to remake it. It is a great character and a great brand."
A new Red Sonja comic book series was released last year and has gone on to be one of the bestselling independent comic books on the market.
