Religious group seeks order barring movie poster
HOLLYWOOD - A French religious group with the formidable title The General Alliance Against Racism and for the Respect of the French Christian Identity is seeking a court injunction against posters for a new film titled Ceci Est Mon Corps (This Is My Body). In its court filing, the group argues that the title, which derives from the communion service, would "cause a disturbance." British actress Jane Birkin, who plays a movie director in the film -- and has starred in films on both sides of the English Channel -- told today's (Wednesday) edition of Britain's Guardian newspaper. "All the best titles are from Shakespeare or the Bible. ... I can't imagine what prompted such a humorless and silly gesture." A ruling is expected on Thursday.
