HOLLYWOOD - Troubled actor Brad Renfro yesterday told a Los Angeles court he is "tired of paying the consequences" for his drink and drug use.
The 23-year-old star of The Client spent 10 days in prison last month after pleading no contest to drink-driving, his third driving under the influence offence. In February, he pleaded guilty to attempted heroin possession.
At the progress report hearing, Renfro said he is keen to conquer his substance abuse problems. Outside court, he told reporters, "(Rehabilitation) is going to help me in all phases of my life. It's definitely been an eye-opener."
Renfro is due back in court on May 2 for another progress hearing.
