HOLLYWOOD - Nicole Richie is pregnant with her first child, according to reports.

Prompted by pictures of the skinny star with a bloated belly, a number of magazines are claiming medical tests have proved The Simple Life star is expecting a baby with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden.

Late last month she was photographed at a reproductive clinic and a report in Life and Style magazine claims blood and urine tests "confirmed she is pregnant."

An "insider" tells the magazine, "Nicole's determined to get healthy for her own sake and the baby's."

A representative for the star has refused to comment on the allegations.
